💅How can I optimize my application with Xtrem Flash™ to avoid chipping and lifting ?Updated 2 months ago
Several factors can explain premature chipping of your Xtrem Flash manicure :
1. Too much product: the Xtrem Flash top coat has a thicker, gel-like texture. If the layer is too thick, the manicure may wrinkle or lift. Always apply a very thin coat.
2. Flooding the skin or cuticles: if the product touches the skin before curing, it may lift afterward. Avoid touching the cuticles. It’s also essential to remove any excess product before curing under the lamp. Removing excess also helps prevent sensitization.
3. Position under the lamp: fingers must be flat for even curing, especially the thumbs. It is very important to apply the product on the thumbs separately. Cure the 4 fingers of one hand, then the other hand, and finish with the 2 thumbs.
4. Nail preparation: make sure the nail is dry, clean, and free of oily residue before application (no oil or cream right before). You can use a cleanser to properly clean the nails after buffing the nail surface with the prep file to lift the nail scales.
If all steps are followed correctly, your Xtrem Flash manicure can deliver up to 21 days of wear and shine.
